Luana Perilli

Luana W. Perilli (Rome, 1981) has displayed her work in many Italian and international venues. Her research investigates relationship between individual and collectivities, nature and culture, moving it from the field of memory and narratives to science, sociobiology and social implications. She was awarded with several residency grants: ZK/U Berlin, DE; Momentum Berlin DE, grant by Premio Terna; Pan Studios Program (supervised by Daniel Buren), Pan Museum, Napoli, in 2010; Art Omi International Artists Residency, New York, in 2008; grant by Dena Foundation for Contemporary Art and Cite Internationale des Arts, grant by Incontri Internazionali D’Arte, Paris, FR, in 2008 and 2004. She is professor at Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma and was professor at Cornell University in Rome.

Luana Perilli has exhibited in many European institutional spaces, including at Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature Paris, MSU Zagreb, MACRO -Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Rome, Janela- Kochi Muziris Biennale, Medium Galerie Bratislava, PAV – Parco Arte Vivente Torino, Stadtgalerie Kiel, Museum Biedermann Donaueschingen, Palazzo della Permanente Milan, PAN Museum Napoli, MAMM Multimedia Art Museum of Moscow, Biennale di Monza, 15a Quadriennale d’arte di Roma, Austrian Cultural Forum Rome.
